A late-summer feature shot in Malibu canyons over two evenings. No crew, no chase car, no schedule beyond the sun.
The brief was simple — wait for the light, drive into it, let the heat haze do the rest. The car was almost incidental. What I was really chasing was the moment when the asphalt and the sky start to share the same colour, and the ridges begin to dissolve into each other.
