A private commission for a Lake Powell collector who wanted his Countach photographed somewhere that "deserved it." We chose a sandstone shelf above the lake and shot at dawn for three mornings, until the wind cooperated.

The colour palette was almost too obvious — burnt orange rock, turquoise water, pearl white car. I had to fight the temptation to over-compose. The simplest frames worked best. By the third morning we were done before the sun had fully crested the canyon wall.
