FIELD NOTES
Three days in the Mojave with one car, one driver, one Hasselblad and three rolls of Portra 400. No call sheet, no AD, no playback monitor.
The desert flattens everything. Distance becomes meaningless, scale collapses, and the car stops being an object and starts becoming a silhouette. I worked mostly at midday, when most photographers stop shooting — the harsh light is the truth of the place, and I wanted that truth in the frame.

Pacific Mist
Highway 1 between Big Sur and Carmel, timed to the early-autumn marine layer that rolls in around six. We chased the fog south along the coast until the light and the sea shared the same grey.
