FIELD NOTES
A commercial assignment along Highway 1 between Big Sur and Carmel, timed to catch the early autumn marine layer that rolls in around six in the morning.
Subaru wanted heritage, not horsepower — a quiet feature about a rally lineage continuing on a quiet road. I shot mostly wide, the car small in the frame, the ocean and the fog doing most of the talking. The blue paint reads almost grey in that light, which suited the mood.
